Our reporting standard is named authors, primary evidence, transparent methodology and a public corrections policy.
Source standards
- Prefer primary evidence and publish methodology and limitations.
- Distinguish reporting, Tribunal findings, analysis, expert advice and opinion.
- Do not publish unreliable local conclusions where sample strength is inadequate.
Tribunal reporting
We report from published orders, minimise unnecessary personal information and clearly separate the decision from our analysis.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected promptly with a clear note on the affected article. Contact editorial@rentalnews.co.nz.
Commercial disclosure
RentalNews is a publication of Intro. Commercial relationships are clearly disclosed and kept separate from news reporting.
